Description
The most famous Scottish regiments during the Napoleonic Wars era were the 92nd ” Gordon Highlanders” and the 42nd Royal Highlanders Regiment, also known as “The Black Watch.” These elite units played significant roles on European battlefields, earning reputations for bravery and discipline.
The soldiers are depicted wearing the classic tartan kilt, which had been in use by Highland regiments since 1739, symbolising their strong cultural identity. They are armed with the standard British Army musket of the period, the legendary “Brown Bess”, known for its reliability in combat.
