In 1985, the MP4/2B debuted with a TAG Porsche engine, supercharged by two compressors, capable of reaching 850 hp and the adoption of aerodynamic solutions less noticeable than previous cars and in line with what the new regulations required. Confirmation of the effectiveness of the project was sealed by the victory of the World Manufacturers Championship and the World Drivers Championship thanks to the extraordinary talent of Alain Prost. In 1986 the project was further improved with the MP4/2C version and Alain Prost confirmed himself as world champion also in the new season, another great Formula 1 talent, the Finnish Keke Rosberg, was joined by another great talent from Formula 1.
